DAEδALUS is an experiment being developed by Professor Janet Conrad to search for CP violation in the neutrino sector using a single detector and multiple accelerator-based neutrino sources at various distances. Bates accelerator physicists and engineers have contributed to evaluation of the appropriate accelerator technology for the experiment, at approximately 0.2 man-year of effort for BY 2011 through March 2013, with no effort expected for the remainder of BY 2013. The important issues have to do with the need to extract and, if necessary, dump the very high power beam in a reliable, efficient way. This need places important constraints on the accelerator design.
