A new experiment to search for a dark force particle, A´, in the mass range 10-100 MeV, DarkLight, was proposed for the JLab FEL by Prof. Peter Fisher and Prof. Richard Milner. The experiment received approval with an A rating from the June 2012 JLab PAC39 with final approval granted in June 2013. Bates staff are providing engineering, technician and accelerator physics support for the proposed test experiment. The collaboration is taking a phased approach to the experiment to accommodate the funding profile.
